2018 was the year I managed to land in the world of life as a published author having bounded my way here over several years in three rather random moves. Firstly, winning a prize for a school project on Butterflies and Moths, secondly, writing a couple of coffee-time stories for Women’s magazines and thirdly, getting a publishing deal with HotKey Books. My YA novel, Sunflowers in February is the rather exciting result and my second YA novel, The Colour of Shadows will be published in February 2019.
My life as a stay-at-home mum to a teenage daughter, a rescue cat, a rescue dog and a grumbly old bad tempered Jackshit terrier-cross, has been enhanced by my decision to take writing more seriously, plus it’s the perfect way to prevent my brain from moulding faster than a sandwich in the bottom of my daughter’s school bag over the summer holidays. As an extra plus, writing means I can sit on my sofa, surrounded by pets, while drinking tea or sipping a rather lovely glass of red.
I’m represented by the lovely Broo Doherty of DHH Literary Agency, London.

The best young adult contemporary that I’ve read in a very long time. I enjoyed reading it so much!Olivia-Savannah Roach
A heart felt and moving story of love, loss and the lengths that people will go to live their life to the fullest.Between The Pages
What a fantastic first novel! A great read that had me up til the small hours to finish it. And it must be good because my 15yr old son is reading it and it’s difficult to encourage him to read!Amazon Reader
